Simple Classic Vodka Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 TBSP - Butter

  • 2/3 Cup - Vodka

  • 1 Tsp - Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 (28 oz) Can - Crushed Tomatoes

  • 1 Cup - Heavy Cream

  • 1/4 Cup - Grated Parmigiano Reggiano

  • 1 TBSP - Basil

  • Salt

Preparation:

  1. Melt butter over medium high heat.

  2. Add vodka and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.

  4. Lower heat and bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in heavy cream and basil.

  6. Once combined, add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.

  7. Serve and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use your favorite noodle with this sauce. One with ridges such as rigatoni are best to hold all the yummy sauce.

  • Get creative! Serve over zucchini noodles for a low carb option. Add some grilled chicken and pan roasted broccoli for a delicious meal!
