Bacon Puffed Twists

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

  • 1 pkt bacon

  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 egg plus splash of water (Egg Wash)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Mix together butter, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese and set aside.

  3. Unfold your pastry sheet and brush mixture over the pastry until all is gone.

  4. Cut into 8-12 pieces (depending on how many pieces are in your package of bacon)

  5. Place a piece of bacon on the puff pastry piece and twist.

  6. Repeat until all pieces of bacon have been wrapped.

  7. Using a sheet tray with parchment paper, line the bacon twists.

  8. Brush each piece with egg wash.

  9. Place in oven for 25-30 mins or until bacon is cooked and pastry is golden brown and fluffy.

  10. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • What can you do with the other sheet of puff pastry? Add mixed cheeses or even some spinach and cheese. Roll up and cut into pieces.

  • Try different cheeses. Don’t have parmesan? Try cheddar cheese or mozzarella.
