Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups - Self Rising Flour

  • 1 Can/Bottle - Beer, 12 oz.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.

  2. Pour flour in large mixing bowl.

  3. Slowly stir in beer and mix until dough forms.

  4. Pour into lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan

  5. Bake 50-55 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.

  6. Place pan on wire rack.

  7. Cool for 5 minutes, remove from pan and return to wire rack to finish cooling.

  8. Slice and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Substitute self rising flour by sifting together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 TBSP of baking powder, and 1-1/2 Tsp of salt.

  • You may use spray to grease pan, but butter is recommended to enhance the flavor.

  • Brush the top with melted butter when removing from oven to give extra flavor.

  • You may add 2-3 TBSP of sugar to your dough depending on the beer you use.

  • Get creative! Experiment with different beers and flavors from lite beers to hard ciders, even stout and darker beers.

Add ingredients and make it your own. Cinnamon and nutmeg, lemon zest and rosemary, or jalapeños and cheddar are all good combinations. Just be sure to not overload your bread to change the texture too much.
